I had a hard time getting into this book at first I have not read the other books in this series and at the beginning of this book, it was hard to keep up with the story Reading this as a standalone, I really didn t feel the connection between Walker and Mallory This story starts with Walker coming back to town after walking away from Mallory I did like these characters and Walker s brothers Even though it was a little slow at the beginning, I did end up enjoying this book and would like to go back and read the other books in this series ARC provided in exchange for an honest review

to you by OBS reviewer HeidiWalker, the son that Charlie Hanover pretended never existed, he has always felt alone, the one that was left behind Callen, the son Charlie claimed, has always seemed to be the enemy It s been Walker s personal mission to take Callen down, to prove that he committed crimes right beside Charlie And, now his vendetta has gotten him in hot water with his job at the FBI He s now the subject of an internal investigation and his boss wants him to come back to D.C and face the charges lodged against him. After hurting Mallory when he left town for 28 days without contact, she is rightfully upset And, Walker will do anything to get her back But she will definitely make him jump through a few hoops before that will happen Does he have what it takes to win her back And, now that Walker is back in town and actually learning who the Hanovers are, he s realizing that they aren t so bad He may even be starting to like his brothers that he has worked so hard to destroy.I don t know what to say about this book It was better than okay, but it was by no means a great read I found the story really dragged for the majority of the book Conversations going too long or showing me conversations between characters than I really need to see It really seemed to bog the story down and fill it with a lot of unnecessary filler. It s nice to see the Hanover brothers starting to interact and even like one another But it s pretty unrealistic that the brothers would take Walker in so easily after he worked so hard and so long to ruin them.I found Callen to be the best part of this book He could always pull a smile from me with his comments and banter Where and how did you propose She bit her lip Um Callen ran a hand over Grace s hair In bed as nature intended He shot an apologetic glance his mother s direction Sorry She shook her head That s okay I figured out you ve slept together For some reason that struck Mallory as hysterical The pregnancy gave it away, right The relationship between Mallory and Walker was interesting, but not all that riveting They were an okay couple But honestly Walker is pretty dense Here, he is groveling and trying to make it up to Mallory for leaving and being incommunicado and what does he do He leaves again Should he really be all that surprised that she s upset This is an okay read, I just wouldn t go into it with high expectations OBS would like to thank the publisher for supplying a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest review

ABOUT THE BOOK Release Date December 2, 2014The Hanover brothers inherited quite a legacy from their con artist father, including a secret they never imagined FBI Agent Walker Reeves came to Sweetwater, Oregon looking to settle a vendetta His career is in shambles after years spent tracking down the Hanover brothers He hopes to tie them to the schemes of their father Charlie the same man who ruined Walker s life Unfortunately, Walker s desire for revenge blinds him to the one chance at happiness he ll ever get Even knowing that her friends would worry, art store owner Mallory Able took a risk sleeping with Walker She succumbed to his craving for control in the bedroom, but when reality got too tough for Walker, he bolted and left her in ruins Now he s returned If Walker wants her back, he s going to have to do some smooth talking both in and out the bedroom And this time Mallory is in charge REVIEW SOME BACKGROUND Charlie Hanover was a con artist who all but destroyed the small town of Sweetwater and in his wake left three sons who must now deal with the aftermath of their father s con Fast forward twenty years, and the now three adult men, have returned to claim their grandmother s estate only the house once belonged to Marc Baron And Marc is determined to seek retribution and revenge for the sins of the father.TOO FAR GONE is the fourth installment in HelenKay Dimon s Hanover Brothers contemporary, adult romance series focusing on the Hanover brothers of Sweetwater, Oregon This is FBI Agent Walker Reeves and art store owner Mallory Able s storyline a second chance at love trope that focuses on Walker s connection to the Hanover brothers and his rekindling romance with Mallory Able TOO FAR GONE is the fourth book in the series it can be read as a stand alone but some important information is missing so I would suggest reading the series in order for cohesion and pure enjoyment. The premise follows Walker s return to Sweetwater, Oregon after a twenty eight day absence Following the revelations about his vendetta and FBI criminal investigation into Callen Walker s past, as well as the resulting emotional upheaval between Walker and the Hanover brothers, Walker leaves town without so much as a goodbye or backward glance but in doing so he destroys any hope of a continued relationship with art shop owner Mallory Able Mallory and Walker had kept their relationship a secret and with Walker s escape Mallory is left behind to pick up the pieces of her broken heart.Mallory is best friends with Leah Baron Declan Hanover s girlfriend book 1 and has been accepted as a member of the Hanover family With Walker s return, Mallory s love and desire for Walker continues to grow but Walker s relationship with the Hanover family is causing some problems for everyone involved Walker s previous vendetta against the Hanover family, as he tried to prove their connection to their father s Charlie Hanover con game and fraud, has resulted in a lack of trust, betrayal and broken hearts When new information is presented, Walker, once again, disappears leaving Mallory and the Hanover s to deal with the possible repercussions. The relationship between Mallory and Walker is a second chance at love for two people with similar backgrounds and pasts But Walker s need for vengeance against the Hanover Brothers continues to build a wall between our leading couple Walker is unable to get past his own guilt for almost destroying the Hanover family and the lingering jealousy of what could have been He was wrong and he has come back to town to make amends The sex scenes are seductive and hot Walker likes to play in the bedroom against the wall or the living room floor. All of the previous storyline couples including the Hanover matriarch Kim Hanover and her beloved Tom play a supporting role in the ensemble storyline Each couple adds a familiarity and sense of family to a story that will see forgiveness and acceptance for a man who knew no love or comfort growing up We get a glimpse into each couple s life, their future and what it means to be in the Hanover family.HelenKay Dimon does a fantastic job pulling the reader into a storyline about family, love, trust and betrayal The Hanover family bond continues to grow with each storyline their family expands with the addition of girlfriends, fianc s and lost souls with no where else to go TOO FAR GONE reveals a little information about Charlie Hanover his crimes, his betrayal and his con of a small town bent on redemption and retribution, and the pain and heartbreak for one family who knew very little about his past.READING ORDER1 No Turning Back2 A Simple Twist of Fate3 Long Way Home4 Too Far GoneCopy supplied by the publisher through

HelenKay Dimon continues her Hanover Brothers, series with book four, Too Far Gone Readers who have been following the series probably already know that there are now four brothers, instead of three if you count Walker and this is his story Dimon has created a series that mult layered with complex characters, but it all boils down to love It will be easy for readers to get caught up in the tension reverberating from Walker, but it s the sparks that are flying with Mallory that will keep them reading What I liked I m kind of starting this series at a disadvantage since this is the first of the four books I have read But I have read HelenKay Dimon before and I was interested to see if she could keep up the angst and urgency that I usually enjoy in her writing At first I will admit that I was a little lost I knew the general premise of the story The three Hanover Brothers, Callen, Declan and Beck have had to overcome a lot because of their father and his con artist ways The previous books have been about the brothers and their struggles to find love because of the way their lives have gone This book however, is the story of Walker Reeves, an FBI agent who is determined to prove that they, like their father are up to no good and have been privy to all of Charlie s plans and lies He blames Charlie for the failures in his own lives and is basically looking to take it out on the brothers The kicker to that is that Callen and Walker are brothers Yep, talk about family drama, that provided all of the conflict necessary to make this a great book There was also conflict surrounding Walker s relationship with Mallory but that was of the romantic sort When a guy just up and leaves before the afterglow wears off and doesn t return your calls, you might worry you did something wrong I felt for Mallory, she was a great character.Mallory and Walker s past is pretty straight forward They hooked up, and he ran At first I wasn t sure I was going to like him because of it But the I read the I changed my opinion of him He is one passionate guy, but he is very no nonsense He is open and honest about his feelings and what he thinks He might be a little on the controlling side, but he s an FBI agent, that s to be expected I liked the fact that Dimon writes Walker as strong, independent but vulnerable where Mallory was concerned One of my favorite parts was when he told her if she wanted this, this and this he would give it to her, whatever it took Persistent and passionate a yummy combination.Mallory was a girl after my own heart too She had her own Art store, something that I would love to do myself She found her place and she was happy in it, but she still had feelings for Walker, even though he had acted like a jerk I loved the part where she was waiting to see him for the first time after their relationship ended She was like, we meet again, then a punch him LOL That s exactly how I would feel HelenKay Dimon did a great job of making these characters easy to relate too and a lot of fun to read about.Bottom Line If book four is any indication, this is a series that I will really enjoy Too Far Gone was both sexy and intriguing I wanted to know about Walker s connection to the Hanovers and about the other brothers I loved his connection to Mallory and his honesty Walker was a great character Dimon makes me want to go back and read the rest of the books, that should be testimony enough as to how much I enjoyed this one.

The final book in the Hanover brother series wraps up with a surprise for Hanover brothers A brother they didn t know they had FBI Walker Reeves has spent so much time trying to pin the Hanover brothers with the crimes of their father Now that certain things have come to light though and he realizes they are innocent he has to figure out what to do with 3 brothers who are going to make him belong whether he likes it or not Then there is the woman he can t seem to keep away from Problem is he can t seem to do anything right when it comes to Mallory He kind of ditched her and ran off when things got kind of crazy and now he s going to have to fight like crazy to get her to believe in him again Poor Walker has no idea how to deal with regular people out of his work life He has 3 brothers he hasn t ever wanted to claim pushing their way into his life and making him believe he might finally belong to a family Then there is Mallory She is everything to him but his poor choices and experience with women is making any chance he might have with her minimal I enjoyed seeing the brothers interact, not to mention the women in their lives Watching Walker trying to navigate himself around his new found family is funny and at times touching and heartbreaking HelenKay Dimon really wraps up this series nicely For me this was a one sitting read I started and did not want to put it down before i knew it it was over This of course means it s a great book Can t wait to see what s next from this author.

I love a man who can admit he done wrong and will do anything to make it right, his hand cradled her chin and his thumb traced her lips You want honesty, disclosure and wooing You ve got it He s very adamant about making things right for his girl, his hands slid down to her a and brought her middle tight against his Energy bounced off her and sparked life into him The wooing is not over and we are still not done working through whatever exists between us There was one conversation I couldn t help but giggle over His eyebrow lifted Are you ashamed of me Hardly that The women get all rowdy with you here Okay Not really since they talked about him for an hour after he left last time That was a bit than she could handle I think it has something to do with your a I love a man who can be straightforward, you want flowers, I ll get you flowers You want to go out every night, finethough I would point out there s a new employment issue which we need to discuss He gave her a tentative smile But truth is I d rather stay in Make you dinner, help you lock up the store Do inventory if you need to I enjoyed this book and the back and forth between Mallory and Walker.

A fabulous conclusion in the Hanover Brothers series from HelenKay Dimon Because the characters and the overall plot line is interconnected I don t feel like this could be read as a standalone I ve really enjoyed this series from the beginning and am very sad to see the Hanovers say goodbye After a big revelation at the end of the last book, FBI Agent Walker Reeves is back in Sweetwater to reconnect and possibly fix some of his mistakes primarily with Mallory After a tough childhood Mallory has had a hard time making connections but she fell pretty hard for Walker Now that he s back in town she doesn t want to forgive him but her heart can t seem to let him go As Walker makes amends and connects with his family he learns that earning Mallory s forgiveness will take than just an I m sorry They have the sexual connection but communication is not a strong point for Walker Will Walker be able to provide Mallory with what she needs before she s ready to say goodbye Great read HelenKay is a personal friend, take this review however you want

Too Far Gone was certainly a book that had a lot of interesting dynamics More than a story about two people trying to find their way to love, this was a story about a family trying to navigate the waters of trust Surviving various conflicts, moving past devastating betrayals, extending forgiveness and giving grace it was all in this book Rating 4 5Recommend YesAudience AdultStatus C, WF, R, PChemistry Intensity YesConflict Drama YesFamily Dysfunction YesHEA YesOther This book could definitely be read as a stand alone, however, I believe that I might have benefitted from reading the books that preceded this one The supporting characters were so colorful and passionate I was thoroughly intrigued by them and found myself wanting to know as many details about them as I could find out An ARC was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest critique.

I received a digital copy from Netgalley and Berkley in exchange for an honest review Too Far Gone is a really great story Even though I haven t read the previous books in the series that fill in the background info and explanations as to how Walker and Mallory found themselves where they are now I still really favored their relationship and their interaction with eachother Its honest its straightforward and its sexy I love the heart and the realism that Helen has brought to the characters because it gave me a deeper connection to who they are as individuals and as a couple I really liked that I hope to add this book to my print collection in the near future I really enjoyed Too Far Gone, it was a really great read.

I really wanted to like this, but it pushed a lot of my buttons about other people telling someone how they should react to things Plus, I didn t think there was the actually a developed relationship by the end and the heroine spent a lot of time trying to manipulate the hero into having the kind of relationship she wanted instead of using her words and just telling him.Not a fan.
